Design Features and Advantages
As a member of the outer spherical ball bearing family, the UD210 bearing exhibits the typical design advantages of this type:
Self-Aligning Capability: The outer diameter surface of the bearing’s outer ring is spherical, allowing it to embed into the corresponding concave spherical surface of the bearing housing. This enables the bearing to automatically adjust its center, compensating for axis deviations caused by installation errors, shaft bending, or misalignment. It is particularly suitable for applications where extremely high concentricity is not critical
.Ease of Installation and Maintenance: These bearings are typically sealed on both sides, effectively preventing the ingress of contaminants. They are pre-filled with lubricant at the factory, generally eliminating the need for cleaning or relubrication before installation, thus simplifying the process. The "UD" type usually refers to a design with set screws, where the bearing can be directly fixed to the shaft via set screws on the extended inner ring, making installation straightforward. Note that when using set screws for fixation, the allowable axial load should not exceed 20% of the dynamic load rating
.Suitability for Harsh Environments: Thanks to their self-aligning capability and sealed design, UD210 bearings are especially suited for relatively rough working environments with vibrations and impacts, such as agricultural machinery, conveyor equipment, and construction machinery
