Design and Performance Characteristics
The performance characteristics of the UD209 bearing stem from the fundamental design of its outer spherical ball bearing type.
Self-Aligning Capability: The outer diameter surface of the bearing's outer ring is spherical. When installed into a bearing housing with a corresponding spherical inner bore, it can automatically align itself and adjust its center. This feature effectively compensates for misalignment caused by installation errors, shaft deflection, or machining inaccuracies
.Ready-to-Install and Sealing: This type of bearing is typically equipped with seals on both sides, which effectively prevent the ingress of contaminants. Furthermore, it is pre-lubricated from the factory, enabling a "ready-to-install" approach that greatly simplifies the mounting and maintenance processes. Common fixing methods include set screws or eccentric collars for convenient and secure fastening directly onto solid shafts
.Load Characteristics and Important Notes: This bearing is primarily designed to withstand combined loads where the radial load is dominant. It is important to note that it is generally not suitable for carrying axial load alone. For models locked with set screws, the allowable axial load must not exceed 20% of the dynamic load rating. Additionally, the size of the bearing's axial internal clearance is crucial for proper operation; special attention must be paid to its adjustment during installation and operation
